Mabon is a term coined by Aiden Kelly in the 1970s for the Autumn Equinox, taking the word from the name of the Welsh God Mabon ap Modron, whose story links him to the season of Spring. The word is rarely used by Wiccans, who generally use "Autumn Equinox" or "Fall Equinox", but is very common in forms of witchcraft derived from Wicca.
